Day 1: Kigali City Tour
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you will embark on a city tour of Kigali, which includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, the Presidential Palace Museum, and the Kimironko Market.
Day 2: Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will drive yourself to Volcanoes National Park, which is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. You will check in to your lodge and then embark on a guided trek in search of the gorillas. You will have an opportunity to observe the gorillas in their natural habitat and learn about their behavior and conservation efforts.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking
Today, you will embark on a trek to track the golden monkeys in the forest. These primates are endemic to the Albertine Rift and are known for their bright golden fur. You will have an opportunity to observe these monkeys up close and learn about their ecology and behavior.
Day 4: Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Kivu, which is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Africa. You will have an opportunity to take a boat ride on the lake, go fishing, or simply relax on the beach. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Kigali for your departure flight.
